Eduard Petreaca, Senior Pastor

Greetings from Dallas First!

It is with the warmest of feelings and heartfelt gratitude that I welcome you to our church family.   Whether you attend as a longtime member or are simply visiting us for the first time, there is a place for you in our family.

My wife and I, along with our boys, are delighted to be a part of the Dallas First Church fellowship.  We take joy in committing ourselves to share the love of Christ, nurturing and empowering people in our community toward spiritual and emotional wholeness.

No matter what is happening in your life or where you are in your journey, I’m confident that the beautiful and inspirational music, celebration of the arts, uplifting messages, in-depth Bible studies, high-quality education provided by our own K-12 Dallas Christian Academy, the warm fellowship of a multi-cultural community at DFC will stimulate spiritual growth and help you develop healthy relationships.

Again, we want to thank you for stopping by our website and we look forward to meeting you in person!

Pastor Ed

Biographical Information

Pastor Ed Petreaca is happily married to Louana-Naomi.  Together they are raising two sons, Lucas and Noah.  Pastor Ed, a native of Romania, received Master of Divinity from Andrews University, Michigan.  Louana has completed medical education and training in Europe and is in the process of obtaining RN license in the US.

Eduard Petreaca was born Alexandria, Romania, to God-fearing Adventist parents. The oldest of three children and fourth-generation Adventist, Eduard was raised to love the Lord Jesus and to believe in the power of prayer in spite of the constant threat of the communist regime’s doctrine of his country.

His earliest memory of school is of learning the Ten Commandments as a six-year-old and having to memorize and recite many of the Psalms. At the age of 14 he was accepted at Paulini Adventist academy, a new boarding school as Romania was opening its doors to Christian education following the collapse of Communism in most of Europe.  At the age of 17 he felt impressed to take a stand for his beliefs, dedicate his life to the Lord and make an informed decision about his conversion.  Following his baptism Eduard started cherishing a strong passion for preaching which continued to grow on him as he later pursued formal theological studies.  After he completed his BA in Theology in Romania in 2002 at the age of 23, he came to the United States as a student at Andrews University Theological Seminary.

Upon completion of the Master of Divinity degree in 2005, Eduard received several calls to pastoral ministry in different states.  He began his journey in ministry in Michigan, where he served in the following churches: Grand Rapids Central, Lowell Riverside, Detroit Romanian, Cherry-Hill, Belleville, Sterling Heights, Troy.  During this time God introduced him to his beautiful bride, Louana-Naomi, whom he married in June of 2008.  Raised in Austria, she left all of her family behind to join her husband in ministry.

In June of 2011 they accepted a call to the Texas Conference, where Eduard served as the senior pastor of the Weslaco church until April of 2012.  He is currently the new senior pastor of the Dallas First Church.  Ed and Louana have two sons, Lucas and Noah, truly precious gifts from God.
