God's Table Ministry
Involvement in one’s community has no age limit. Here at DFC we offer varied and relevant worship and engagement opportunities to all, from the smallest toddling child to the nonagenarian--and beyond!
As followers of Christ, we are called to serve the needs of our community with compassion and love. One of the many ways we are answering this calling at Dallas First Church is through our God's Table ministry — a local Dallas-based food pantry that was started in 2020. Our goal with this ministry is to provide free food to those in need through the distribution of fresh produce, milk and canned goods. We open our doors several days a week and are always looking for external partners in the community who are interested in getting involved.
Children's Ministry
Despite the demands on his time, Christ took time during his walk on earth to specifically reach out to the youngsters in the crowds around him. We have followed that example by creating several programs for our youngest members so they, too, can experience the joy of being children of God--part of the family of Christ
Youth and Young Adult Ministry
Many people say young people are our future, but at DFC, we strongly believe they are our present--in more than one sense. Not only are our youth and young adults gifts to our church, our community, and the world, but they are also capable of teaching and leading us today. Which is why we’ve made it a point to build programs to help them form crucial relationships and develop necessary skills to be the leaders and teachers they were made to be.
Each Saturday morning at 9:30, classes geared toward various ages meet to explore scripture, worship through music, engage with peers, and get to know God better. Specific programming appropriate for children ages 0-12, teens, young adults, and more experienced adults solidifies biblical truths, teaches Christian values, and offers inspiration for the week and for life. All are welcome.
Dallas Christian Academy
DFC is a constituent (supporting) church for Dallas Christian Academy, a K-12 church-operated school right here in the heart of Dallas. Students learn not only academics but life skills, biblical values, and strength of character from dedicated, experienced teachers. Learn more at dallaschristianacademy.org or call 214-528-6327.
God's Closet
One of our ministry leaders is fond of saying, “They won’t care what you know until they know you care.” This sums up fairly well our approach to connecting with our community--we fill the needs we find, care for those we meet, and demonstrate the love of Christ to all.
Women's Ministry
The women of DFC are active not only in our church and community, but with each other. They place high value on fellowship and engagement with other women, and make large efforts to spend intentional time together, sometimes playing, sometimes studying, and sometimes serving. There’s a place for every woman in this group, so come find your niche!
