Who is DFC?
DFC is a vibrant Christian community woven into a rich and diverse tapestry of cultures and backgrounds. We enjoy celebrating hope and wholeness, and foster a desire to extend our DFC family beyond the borders of our city through media and technology. We value Christian education and have dedicated ourselves to developing our young people spiritually, emotionally, physically, and academically through our K-12 school, Dallas Christian Academy. We believe strongly in the Great Commission of Christ to go into all the world and share his love, offering regular opportunities for our members to participate in outreach to our own city and around the world.
In short, DFC exists to provide a place of belonging where people from all walks of life can grow and develop, and where they can be connected to God, to each other, and to their community.
Who are Adventists?
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a global Christian organization with over 20 million members around the world. The significance of our name offers insights to our two most important beliefs: the seventh day--Saturday--as the biblical Sabbath, and the longed-for return--second advent--of Jesus Christ to earth. Adventists accept the Bible as the sole standard of faith and practice, and turn to it regularly and prayerfully. Our beliefs permeate every aspect of our lives, guiding our attitudes and behaviors in imitation of those seen in Jesus Christ.
